We are heading towards the future of technology. In more ways than one. One of the fields of science that is very promising is that of robotics, specifically the part that focuses on combining technology and humanity in a more intimate way than what we have known up until now. I am of course talking about the concept of cyborgs. Human tech hybrids. There's probably an official fancy term for the science, but that's what I went with We already have the early adopters with their bionic limbs. Grandpa with his hearing aid is technically also a cyborg. Technically.

But we are heading towards more integration. Some people may fear things like chips, but this rational fear was also a thing when the internet first came. People didn't trust that either. But once the ball starts rolling, everyone hops onto the bandwagon.

With these future cyborgs, will blockchain technology still be a thing. And will we know it as we know it now? Or will it have evolved along with the circumstances. If that's the case would we still need miners to verify transactions on the blockchain? Let me be more specific: would we still need mining rigs or constructions?

Maybe humanity itself can provide a source for a decentralized network. Those that opt in would automatically have the potential to play a significant role while possibly also earning on fees.

It's funny to think about part human part robots functioning as nodes in a blockchain. And to some it might even be a very scary thought. But then again, so were airplanes in the early days, or telephones maybe, which would look like sorcery to our early ancestors.

These ideas also bring another benefit into the mix. Technology to aid the human body means that points of failure in the body can be managed. This could lead to people living far longer than we are used to as of today. But of course these are all just thoughts of mine.

So, where do you see this concept going in a few years? Is it all just fantasy or future reality? And would you participate if it meant living a longer life.
