Splinterlands Rental Earning Dropped! Time to Analyse
It's been more than 3 months since I have been using the rental on my splinterlands account. I was happy with this because it made me earn DEC tokens without playing the game. Rental is a good way to earn passive income in the game but we need not compare the earnings if we play because we can surely earn more if we play. It's a good option only if you have no time to play but want your cards to get used.
I started renting for the first time in August month and since then I have been using it because I find it useful. Why schedule has been busy for the last couple of months and during this period it is a good option for me to earn passive income where I do need not to spend time. I was happy with whatever I was able to earn in the game through the rental but seems things are changing now.
Earlier I used to earn between 1000 to 2000 tokens in a day depending upon the season. The pay-out was less at the beginning of the season which was in the range of 1000 tokens but by the time it ends I have got many times approximately in the range of 2000 tokens in a day. Today I was checking my earnings through the rental and I was surprised to see that now I am getting a very less number of tokens every day. If this continues then I don't think I will be able to earn more than 1000 tokens in a day during the end of the season.
To be honest I'm not happy with this because I need to pay a 10% commission for using the service and my earnings are reduced. At this rate of earnings, I am not happy to keep my account on the rental and I will spend some time this weekend to figure out what should be the strategy going forward with my cards. I would like to mention here that I had rented out all my cards in the game because I stopped playing long back.
Now since the earnings are less so I think that I will have to decide whether it is good to continue with the rental or I should move back to playing mode. I know that if I play the game then for sure I'll be able to earn more because sometimes we get a very good reward in seasons. I use s Plex to rent out my cards and this is a useful service I would say but I cannot compromise my earnings. I am not sure if this is because of the decrease in demand in the market or if there is another reason for this drop. So I will be analyzing the situation over the weekend and then I will see how I need to plan my things for the game in the coming season. The current season will be ending in 5 days so by the time the next season will start I should have my plan ready that how I want to proceed further.
Things change and I understand that nothing is constant here but the important part is that we need to keep an eye on the overall situation so that whenever there is a change we can notice and plan things accordingly. Although I was not playing the game still I was keeping track of the daily earnings that I received and this is why I noticed whenever there is a big change. If you are also doing the rentals then I think you should check out your earnings and see if that also requires some change in strategy to make the game more profitable for you.
