My exploration in the world of play to earn games...
The gaming industry is of the biggest industry in todays era. All sorts of game have been making a significant impact in terms of finance. Billions of dollars worth of companies have been making their way into the gaming industry and us people are a part of it. According to a report there are almost 3 billion people who plays different types of game in their everyday life. The numbers are increasing everyday.
Few years back crypto gaming industry started to see some light in among those traditional gaming industry which has been ruling the gaming world for a very long period of time. Play to earn games have been the talk of the town for a some time. Although play to earn has already seen a bumpy road till its existence. Nevertheless, it is a growing industry and within couple of years if utilized wisely this crypto play to earn sector could become one of the biggest industry out there for us.
I have been a part of few games as a player and an investor into the games. But my experience has been quite hasty regarding this sector. My previous played games (play to earn) were :
- Axie Infinity
- Crypto blades
- Splinterlands
After going through these games I was not brave enough to explore more of these gaming industry. Talking about Axie Infinity, this play to earn crypto game probably has created the most buzz in play to earn gaming industry. making it one of the biggest industry during its peak. With enough curiosity and with much hope I was among those who jumped in on the game and invested quite heavily into the game.
And if I am being honest, among various thoughts one of my future plan was, this is probably the it! The retirement plan that I have been looking for. Axie caught the attention of world wide gamers and people flocked in in mass. But this is what happens when the game does not able to sustain its economy and does not work that much in its progress.

Axie infinity currently sitting at the bottom of the table according to Dappradar of Top Blockchain Games rankings and it is slowly loosing its value as days are passing by. Not that it has lost its charm as I still get to see players are earning substantial amount of money but the overall gaming economy seems to be dropping. That is not a good sign at all. My axies are still in the game and I have dropped them their to stay in search of probably I would get my investment back one day lol.
Cryptoblades
Cryptoblades was probably one of those games which got the gamers by surprise. It was sort of ponzi scheme where the earlier you get in the earlier you can recoup your investments. Well, in this game I was probably the lucky one who got my investment back pretty soon than I expected. Even in this game I still have my assets and I have not checked how and where my investment is still sitting at the moment.

Although, couple of weeks back I got in and was able to find out how low my assets worth were which was not really worth investing my time into. So I just left those there and sort of felling the same which I felt about my Axie infinity's assets. Hopefully they will rise back in price and I would be able to get back my investment once again lol.
Cryptoblades currently sitting at the position of 40 which is sort of expected and I have zero idea what is happening in this game. This sort of games have been making a lot of negative impacts in the play to earn gaming industry. Which is probably one of the reason we get back lash at positive games in this industry.
Splinterlands
Splinterlands, the play to earn game which has been evolving over the time frame. Currently being ranked as top blockchain games across all the blockchain available. Making it one of the biggest play to earn nft game which has been increasing its userbase even in this bear market. Compared to other play to earn games Splinterlands seems to be going in a completely different direction. Where other play to earn games are seeking ways to sustain the economy of the their game, Splinterlands is basically making strong economy within their game. Not only that but they are expanding their regions into other blockchain. Introducing NFT card (RUNI) into Ethereum blockchain. Which was one of the bigest achievemenet made by the team of Splinterlands.

Unlike other games where ponzi schemes are best route available to sustain the economy of their game, Splinterlands is slowly getting decentralized and moving towards a completely different zone from where it started. Within the year 2023, we will get the taste of decentralization of this game (according to the roadmap).
Different ways to earn which is not really possible in other games.
- Be a gamer
- Be an investor
- Be a trader
- Be a content creator
there are ways to make our time worth it in the game. I as all the above have been getting the benefit of being in the game of Splinterlands. I must say, even in this bear market things are going quite good compared to my other investments in other regions of this sector. Coming to the point where I would get my investment back from this game, I would probably say I have taken much more out than I have invested in this game. Such an irony that I can literally understand.

I still have no idea how far I am going to be a part of Splinterlands game. But all I can say is, I am going to be here as long as I can and I just want to improve and increase my assets within this game. Since in order to make a game successfull few basic things are much needed
- A strong team
- Finance
- Community
SL has all that in its pockets. Which basically gives some strong hope for us and with all the achievements happening, I am positive about this game. Unless something unholy happens and we get screwed big time :)
