Its nearing the end of 2022 and one of my goals in which I had for this year was to reach 10,000 HIVE Power. Today is the day I make that goal a reality. As of typing this I have 9,776 HIVE Power which means in order to reach my 10,000 goal I need to power up 224 HIVE. With the dipping price of HIVE I was able to sell my 16 HBD for roughly 60 HIVE which brought my liquid HIVE balance to 260. I suppose you can guess what I'm about to do with that 260 HIVE (That's right; Lets Power it up).

BOOM just like that I reached and surpassed my goal. As the screenshot above shows I now have 10,036 HIVE Power. It took me awhile to get to this point. Lots and lots of created content and even more so interactions on this amazing chain (HIVE) that we all come to enjoy. While I'm happy that I finally was able to break the 10,000 HP mark I feel as it took me way too long to reach this point as I been on HIVE since its birth.

New HIVE Goals

With hitting my 10,000 milestone its now time to put more gas on that pedal. 10,000 is just the first step for my HIVE Power aspirations. Some weeks back I said I planned on selling some of my Splinterlands assets to up my HIVE Token Holdings. I did just that over the past weeks with selling my DEC bag. Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) is the in game token for Splinterlands which is used for in game purchases and can be traded on many different DEX's and Exchanges. Eventually a portion of the HIVE I gain from such trades will find its way to becoming HIVE Power but for now I'm going to let it sit in my LeoDex (Hive-Engine) wallet as Swap.Hive for any opportunities in which I can use to build that stack. With all that in mind I'm going to set a modest goal of reaching 15,000 HIVE Power by mid 2023. I'll adjust that goal based on HIVE's price fluctuation. The more it dips the more I suspect I will be able to power up. The more it recovers the less I will be able to power-up. This is because HIVE is easier to earn and accumulate when the USD price of the token is low compared to when the USD value of HIVE is on the rise.

Secondary Goal

I have many but in the forefront of them is increasing my LEO Power. In fact I shouldn't even call it a secondary goal as I want to increase my LEO Power just as much as I want to increase my HIVE Power. Just as I plan on using a portion of my future attained HIVE to power-up to HIVE Power I will also be using a portion of it to increase my LEO Token Holdings. LEO is the native token to the Hive Blockchain front-end known as LeoFinance. They are one of the oldest and most successful tribes on the blockchain. Currently I roughly have 5,000 LEO Tokens and I'm looking to double that in the same time frame in which I increase my 10,000 HP to 15,000 HIVE Power. The success of doing such a feat is dependent of the future trade value between HIVE:LEO. The more LEO I can get for my HIVE will mean an easier road to my goal. The less LEO I can get per HIVE the harder my goal will be to reach. Which is why my goals are only soft guesstimation rather than set in stone must gets. Either way I'm getting their sooner rather than later. In fact I think its not out of the realm of possibilities that I completely smash through these two new goals of mine in the first quarter of 2023. I think setting goals is important and typing them out helps me to keep focused in reaching them. Its almost like issuing a challenge to oneself. Do you have HIVE goals?
