How much time do you spend online? If you lose your smartphone somehow, you feel that every moment until you get another phone. We all use social media, apps, and websites, and love to share what we are up to on apps and social media. You give a lot of information willingly. You think it's nothing, that's how we live in today's digital world.

Your data can be used in different ways. You are leaving your digital footprint everywhere. Analyzing your data, companies do a lot of things to develop products, improve user experience, and target you precisely to show ads. When you see the ads, you feel like this is what you are looking for.

You search for a product and now you see ads everywhere about that product. Your online activity is closely monitored. Sometimes you just have no idea how your personal data can be used. And you do not even know they are collecting your sensitive personal data.

When you visit a website, you see a cookie pop-up and just hit the agree button. Now they are tracking your activity. Many companies use data to build their business and make billions of dollars. Your personal data is very valuable to those companies. You may think that they use your information for the development of the products and run ads campaign, that's good.

You can use social media and apps for free. It is not free, you are paying with your data that can be used against you. Are you sure that they are using the information in an ethical way? The company can manipulate the targeted audience using users data. You think you make the decision to buy without realizing you are being manipulated.

Data breach is another big risk factor. They can sell your data in the black market to make money. Hackers can use your data to launch hacking attempts. You are wondering how come they get all information about you. You leave your information via social media activity, sharing location, using apps, and doing a lot of things.

400 million Twitter accounts data leaked and it is out there in the market. Hackers put your date for sale. Do you think those tech giants take responsibility for using your personal information? They care about their business and how they can increase their profit. They are not concerned about your privacy.

It is time to be mindful of what's going on using your data. You cannot go backward and exclude yourself from the digital world. Now Web 3.0 gets a lot of attention. You can maintain your data and privacy in a better way. You decide what you share and which apps you use on your smartphone.

So what do you think? Please feel free to leave your comments. Thank you for reading this post. That's it for now. I'll be back with another post.
