#threads Quests - I made many new #hive friends

Hive is a HIDDEN GEM.

Enough of that, let’s go public and make it a household name already. We always want to gloat how efficient the chain is and how the development on Hive is dwarfing every other blockchains out there. Well, we are not wrong if we look at these claims.

We are the second most active chains after Wax according to dapp radar.

That means Hive blockchain definitely has the potential. The activity on Hive so far is led by Splinterlands. We may have to market other dapps on hive to make sure we have an influx of new users joining in the chain.

We have been talking about marketing our products to the crypto worlds and to the traditional web 2 users. There were projects and initiatives but I am not sure those marketing efforts have impacted the user influx into hive projects. I am not underappreciating the marketing efforts that happened on Hive but we need to do more, clearly.

Leo Threads - Have you tried yet?

Switching the topic on hive marketing- we all know (hopefully) that Leofinance recently released the alpha version of the #threads UI. For those who do not know - Threads is Twitter on hive.

It is a microblogging app where users can post anything they want - including NSFW items ( I think so :0 ) .

We have seen great interest in threads as the platform surpassed 1000 monthly active users in February for the first time ever. The number does not sound huge but for someone like me who has been there since the beginning, it is a win. The goal is to bring 5000 MAUs by the end of this year which is achievable.

The platform is hoping to bring in more hive users to threads for the first phase.The focus then would be to bring in new users. To achieve this objective, the leofinance team (@anomandsoul) came up with this genius marketing idea.

The Crew3 Initiative

I was not aware of this platform but crew3 is considered one of the best applications to market your web3 project. I have used it since the leofinance team launched their marketing campaign on crew3. I must say how impressed I am with the platform and the ideas behind each marketing quest. Kudos to the marketing team.

I explored so much through quests. I am happy to connect with many new users and communities.

The quests designed for the marketing campaign were actually good. Through quests, I get to explore many communities on hive that I never knew existed. I would not have interacted with many users who I follow now if this marketing campaign was not envisioned. I earned my quest points- yes- but I also gathered a few followers, and knew a few more great writers, painters, bloggers and Hivers. I am glad that I am part of this quest.

I am sure that this quest must have brought many new users to threads. I hope they continue their thread journey to make this a best place to hang out, share photos and have conversations.

Looking forward to other quests

I am looking forward to the next sprint of quests that is commencing March 15, 2023. You power up your leo and get ready for the next round for the chance to win 10K USD in prize. Apart from the prize money, I am also looking forward to interacting with many other prospective thread users.
