The impossible has finally happened for me on Splinterlands. I got an airdrop that came from purchasing packs!

I am the owner of one regular foil Carnage Titan, the airdropped card for Splinterlands passing the 8 million packs sold threshold for the Chaos Legion release.

The card itself presents some great stats and abilities to throw into a dragon lineup as it has the reach ability and is set up as a secondary tank. I have some good ideas for how to use the card in a high mana battle.

Let's take a look at how it is doing on the markets thus far.

Here is the regular foil market:

Here is the gold foil market:

It seems to me like a lot of the airdropped cards have been performing around a similar rate in the markets. Overall, NFT markets seem down and that is hitting Splinterlands for sure (though the game is still thriving) when it comes to the market value of assets being traded.

Of course, looking at it from a supply-demand standpoint, it makes sense that the price would continuously decrease as more are received through the airdrop. With that being said, it also seems that these cards are finding similar bottoms in the market ($10-$15) despite having wildly different abilities.

Whatever the reason for the price going down, I am happy to have finally gotten in on the airdrop madness and hope to continue to be involved in the future. Do your own research, but I will be using this period of the market being on a downtrend to stack some assets in the game and work on improving my deck while I still can.

Big things are coming in Splinterlands and it is just a matter of time before the market starts to price that in a bit more.

Good luck!
