Let's talk about Back to Basics Ruleset this week for the Share your Battle Mage Secrets weekly challenge. In battles with the Back to Basics ruleset, Monsters lose all abilities.

This Week's Challenge: BATTLE MAGE SECRETS

RULESET: Back to Basics

Description: Monsters lose all abilities..

Summoner effects are still active (IE: Yodin Zaku).

Since the monsters lose all their abilities in battles with the Back to Basics ruleset, I prefer Magic Attack Monsters in such battles because Magic Attack Monsters can both attack from all positions and directly hit the health of the enemies in such battles. The second option is I can choose Ranged Attack Monsters, although they cannot attack in the first position, they can attack while in the back line, but they must first destroy the armor of the armored monsters. Using more than one Melee Attack Monster in such battles is not very advantageous because they can only attack while in the first position, so they cannot attack when they are in the backline.

In battles with the Back to Basics ruleset, although Monsters lose all their abilities, they can gain abilities thanks to the Summoner, for example, thanks to the Summoner POSSIBILUS THE WISE, Melee attack Monsters can attack from the second position. Other summoners can also give abilities to Monsters, for this you can take a look at the abilities given by the summoners.

MY STRATEGY

Before starting the battle, when I reviewed the last 5 battles of the opposing player, I saw that the opposing player had quite powerful cards. It was very difficult for me to guess the opposing player's strategy in this battle, but I could guess that the opposing player would prefer Magic Attack or Ranged Attack Monsters. I decided that it would be more advantageous for my team to choose Magic Attack Monsters in this battle, so I preferred Magic Attack Monsters. In this battle, I thought that all monsters would target the monsters in the first position, so I put the monsters with high health in the first positions, in other words, I made the line-up of the monsters in the team according to their health, but just in case, I put Regal Peryton, who has high speed, in the second position. Although Regal Peryton had lost all of his abilities, he had chance to evade Melee and Ranged Attacks because he was speed.

LINE UP

Summoner : DELWYN DRAGONSCALE

In this battle, I decided to prefer Magic Attack Monsters and chose Delwyn Dragonscale as Summoner so that they could attack targets more powerfully. Delwyn Dragonscale gives +1 Magic Attack to all friendly Magic Attack Monsters. Thanks to Delwyn Dragonscale, Magic Attack Monsters in my team will be able to attack targets more powerfully.

Position 1: MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN

Mycelic Slip Spawn has 2 Magic Attacks, 3 Speed, and 11 Health at level 3. I put Mycelic Slip Spawn in first position since it has 11 health.

Position 2: REGAL PERYTON

Regal Peryton has 2 Magic Attacks, 6 Speed, and 5 Health at level 3. Although Regal Peryton would lose all abilities in this battle, has 6 speed was an advantage and had chance to evade Melee and Ranged Attacks. That's why I put Regal Peryton in second position.

Position 3: RUNEMANCER FLORRE

Runemancer Florre has 2 Magic Attacks, 2 Ranged Attacks, 4 Speed, and 13 Health at level 1. Runemancer Florre is a very powerful monster that can attack the target with both Magic Attacks and Ranged Attacks, so I added her to the team without hesitation in this battle. I put her on the back line as she can't attack with Ranged Attack in the first position. She also had 13 health which was a huge advantage in a battle like this so I put her in third position.

Position 4: CHAOS DRAGON

Chaos Dragon has 3 Magic Attacks, 3 Speed, 4 Armor and 10 Health at level 2. I put Chaos Dragon in fourth position since it has 4 Armor and 10 health. Also, Chaos Dragon is a very powerful dragon that can attack targets very powerfully.

Position 5: NAGA ASSASSIN

Naga Assassin has 1 Ranged Attack, 5 Speed, and 4 Health at level 3. To be honest, the only reason I chose Naga Assassin in this battle was because she cost 2 mana. I put her in fifth position as she only has 4 health.

Position 6: DJINN BILJKA

Djinn Biljka has 2 Magic Attack, 1 Speed, and 2 Health at level 2. Djinn Biljka costs only 2 mana and can can attack the target powerfully. I put him in last position as he only has 2 health.

BATTLE COMMENTS

Round 1

Battle Link

The opposing player's cards were of high level, but the lack of Monsters with high health was a huge disadvantage for the opposing team. Having monsters with high health was a huge advantage in such battles, and my team had this advantage in this battle.

In the first round, my team attacked targets powerfully, destroying two monsters on the opposing team, while the opposing team destroyed one monster on my team.

Round 2

In the second round, my team continued to attack targets powerfully and the enemy monsters were unable to survive due to low health. And my team destroyed two monsters in the second round as well. But the opposing team attacked only once and only dealt 3 damage to Regal Peryton.

Round 3

Things were not going well for the opposing team in this battle and in the third round only 2 monsters remained on the opposing team. They also had very low health so it wasn't hard to destroy them.

Although the battle was a 51 mana battle it only lasted 3 rounds, only one monster from my team was destroyed while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed. My strategy really worked in this battle, and we've seen how effective Magic Attack Monsters are in battles with the Back to Basics ruleset. We have also seen how important the health of monsters is in such battles. I recommend you to watch this wonderful battle and the weekly challenge from Battle Link.

BATTLE RESULTS

MY OPINION

Although the battles with the Back to Basics ruleset seem simple, I think they are not simple battles. Teaming up with a good strategy is very important in every battle. As I mentioned above, it is a great advantage to use Magic Attack Monsters in battles with the Back to Basics ruleset. And it also gives a huge advantage in having Magic Attack Monsters with high health in such battles, the above battle is an example of this. But in battles with the Back to Basics ruleset, I don't think it's advantageous to use Melee Attack Monsters at all because they can't attack while on the back line in such battles. I can also use Ranged Attack Monsters in such battles because they can attack while in the backline but cannot attack from the first position. Magic Attack Monsters can attack from all positions and directly damage the health of enemies, which I think is a huge advantage. That's why I prefer Magic Attack Monsters without hesitation in battles with the Back to Basics ruleset. I'm curious about your opinion on the battles with the Back to Basics ruleset, and I would be glad if you comment on it.

What are your thoughts on the battle? I would be glad if you write your thoughts in the comments.
