Often a misquote of the Christian Bible by many:

Money is the root of all evil.

The portion actually says:

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Nothing is evil of itself be it science, technology, or any other creation of man. It is how it is how that tool is used. Either used for good or used for evil. Those are my thoughts anyway be what they may.
