The year 2020 is going to an end and so is the Crypto-Winter. It is a good time to recapitulate and to set the goals for the next year. Most probably 2021 will be exceptional. Exceptional for people starting the year isolated in lockdowns and spending more time online than they ever had. Exceptional for every economy worldwide being under the COVID-thread and having to deal with the crazy amount of money that has been printed to fight it. Exceptional for Crypto as a whole with new ATHs for Bitcoin, Ethereum switching to proof-of-stake, and ALT season around the corner. Exceptional for HIVE with Communities like LEO, SPORTS, STEM, and others getting stronger and hopefully onboarding thousands of enthusiastic new users to this chain. These all are good reasons to have a plan, have some goals and KPIs to work against for the coming year.

Recapitulating about SPI and my involvement

What I really like about the idea behind HIVE, LEO, and even SPI, is the possibility to cooperate as a community and generate value out of this interaction. Value for the group and value for every individual based on the extent of involvement - be it stake or performance. We have all the tools to distribute value based on the stake a user has in a community and especially SPI has shown how to generously pay back holders of the token with dividends or price increase of the token itself. Just have a look at the recent earnings and holdings report to get an impression of what has been accomplished so far.

On the other hand for those that are willing to participate by creating content, playing games on the blockchain, or actively helping in curation and proofreading, the SPI community paid off in several forms additionally. It definitely strengthened the reputation of the accounts involved, and if you like to hear an excellent talk about the importance of reputation have a look into this video from @taskmaster4450. Their active involvement resulted in a bigger exposure of these accounts, eventually in more followers and more upvotes of their own work. If you take me (@no-advice) as an example. I do the "weekly Bitcoin guessing game" one time per week for the @spinvest main account and also host a twin-contest "the weekly ETH guessing game" on my own account. Both have developed extremely well during this year, but I am sure that the ETH guessing game has very much profited from the one on @spinvest. Furthermore, I got in close contact with really inspirational people like @silverstackeruk, @taskmaster4450, @jk6276, @metzli, @shitsignals, and @shanibeer, learned their views and got motivated by their spirit and ideas. I learned a lot about new projects to invest in and these people helped me to overcome the writer's block and motivated me to acept the challenge to develop this account: @spinvest-leo

The present contribution of @spinvest-leo to SPI

First and foremost a special thank has to go to @jk6276, who manages all the tokenomics and curation of spinvest-leo and has the main contribution to the success of this project.
Spinvest-Leo currently holds 18,050 LEO and is number #52 on the LEO rich list. All these tokens are investments (or earnings) from spinvest and are not actually backing the SPI-token, but contributing to its value. In other words, these funds don't have to be sold if SPI holders would like to sell off their assets for 1 HIVE guaranteed by SPI. The LEO in the account is therefore in "very strong hands" that are not going to sell anytime soon. The contribution of @spinvest-leo to the total earnings of @spinvest during the last 5 weeks was as follows:

@spinvest-leo earnigstotal @spinvest earnings%numbe of articles
178,46 HIVE1283,84 HIVE14%1
270,69 HIVE1219,11 HIVE22%1
138,17 HIVE1148,80 HIVE12%0
142,98 HIVE1147,68 HIVE13%0
322,05 HIVE1347,56 HIVE24%3
210,47 HIVE1229,40 HIVE17%

As you see from the numbers above the weekly contribution of this account is around 12% without any publication effort but raises up to 24% with some weekly postings. There is definitely a high potential that is not fully used to date. In addition to that, the @spinvest-leo account has only 128 followers. To date, there are 390 accounts that hold 1 or more SPI token and a lot more that are interested in quality posts about finance. With the onboarding of a high number of new users to Leofinance the fight for getting an audience, the struggle for the attention of people around on the platform may start to get tough. Having a community-driven account with a big audience of people with stake may be an asset in itself then. Giving newcomers the opportunity to publish some of their content on @spinvest-leo, introducing themselves and their topics of interest as well as their writing skills on an actual piece of their work, would benefit the author as well as the account and therefore the SP community.
The second part of this article should set some goals for this account in combination with relevant key performance indicators (KPIs). It would be fun to discuss with you in the comment section what you are thinking is possible to achieve.

Questions for the SPI community

How many followers of @spinvest-leo shall we set as a goal for 2021? How many authors should we convince to contribute content to @spinvest-leo in 2021? Should @spinvest-leo offer beneficiaries, fix payments, or other incentives for guest-authors?
What contribution @spinvest-leo should achieve on the @spinvest total earnings in 2021?

Please give your comments and suggestions on what tour goals should look like. This is @no-advice for @spinvest-leo
