No more BAT for you my friend :(

I am sure many of you have used it, the Brave Referall System.

So did I. I recommended the browser to many of my acquaintances, I myself have been using it for a good two years now and here and there the one or other BAT token has landed in my wallet.

But with my today's login in the Creator's Interface of Brave I found out that the Referell System is no longer valid.

Already 24 days ago Brave announced to discontinue the Referell System and to present a new concept when it is ripe.

The following information is available for the users:

Effective today, November 9th, 2020, we will begin to wind-down the current referral program. Creators using the Brave referral program have 14 days to wrap up their Brave promotional activity. Creators not using the referral program will experience no change. What does this mean for first opens, confirmations, and payouts? After November 23rd, referrals (first opens) driven by referrers will no longer be eligible for payout. Brave will pay out on confirmations that occur before December 24th. A confirmation is a 30 day active user of Brave. Final payments for December confirmations will be made in early January 2021.

In conclusion, Brave rated the past referral campaign as a success. Instead of the originally planned 1$ million in BAT, the company has now distributed 12$ million in BAT to Creators around the world.
