In our time, people are more likely to have the opportunity to acquire knowledge in this regard. When I look at people from my grandparents' generation who did not necessarily grow up in a metropolis, I don't see much solid foundations there, even though some of these people are 4 times my age. But as it is with everything, you will have people who question things and acquire this knowledge because they want it and people who just don't care or who may not know any better.
