CONNECTION - AN IMPORTANT ASSET TO BUILD
Earlier today, I was in a WhatsApp conversation with a country friend of mine @josediccus which we were discussing about growth on Hive and looking back of how far we have come and the importance of connection came out right into our discussion.
After our conversation which went through a series of voice notes and text, I sat to think about how much having to know someone or being connected to certain people have brought so much impact to my growth on Hive.
To have a promising growth in this life, it depends on how sociable you are and how much you connection you can build. Getting to know people or being acquainted to some people is never a waste of time. Truth is that somehow, someday they would end up being of great assistant to us.
Now that I am in school and so much too busy to socialize Hive (though quite painful), I am happy that my little effort commenting through Hive and getting to meet people in the platform during my beginning are showing results.
In life generally, No matter what sector it may be, having connection with people is very important. Are talking about the business sector, educational sector, or what else, connection still comes in to be an important asset.
Talking about the business sector, I see connection to be related with networking. A way of building the number of people you know who would refer more people to your business. This as well brings different kinds of opportunities and business growth.
From Educational sector, this makes me thing about my country for an instance. Getting admission into school do not totally determine the score you get in your exams but who you know in the school or better said as the connection one has.
Even after when one is done with schooling, connection plays a vital role in helping securing a job, In Nigeria and probably many other countries in the world, there are thousands of graduates who are on street looking for jobs while those who get a well paid job after graduating is through someone they know in their place of work.
Coming back to Hive talk; to be a successful author or one with high post rewards, it definitely means you need to start engaging with a lot of people and building your connection. This is the reason why the word 'ENGAGE' is always emphasised.
So, if you feel you only know a few people or have connected to a few people then you have to do a lot of work towards engaging. Presently, I am in school and in exams period but after this period, I would make sure to get to engage with more other authors before I get very busy again.
