Your right, I'm sure many can relate to this and have probably experienced something similar, I know I have. My experience was in 'Affiliate Marketing', this is such a broad niche that's it's hard to narrow it down, but is possible. I don't think of myself as an affiliate marketer anymore & don't every think I did. It was just the title to what I was trying to do. Following @jongolson & @blainjones to Hive was the best thing I've done in the online, making money arena.
I've been at this since I first got an computer in the 1980's, around '85 or '86, that's a very long time to be doing something and not having anything to show for it. Well thanks to Hive things are coming along real nice.

As for the bottle thing, that's different. Here in the States, there are places that actually pay you like 5cents a bottle if you chose to bring them in. We also have recycling and places you can take in drink cans & water bottles as will as other metals (called scraping) and make a little money. I've done that from time to time and occasionally still do. It's just that you need really large amounts of scrape in order to really make a nice amount. I'm looking to get a small pickup truck soon, so I can haul scrap.
