Is the weekend here yet?

Well... not quite yet but, SOON.

We use "soon" a lot in crypto, but as @abh12345 was saying the other day, it has lost most of its meaning, as it has become an ambiguous term.

They should add:

6
crypto : any time after announcement and before release

// Wen?
Soon.

Speaking of "soon", the PolyCUB Airdrop will soon be here and if you connect to https://cubdefi.com/airdrop, you will be able to see what you can expect to get in the drop, based on current holdings. My own holdings have gone down quite a lot in the last 24h, as the price of CUB has shot up. While I have some in the CUB Kingdom, I have most in the CUB/BUSD farm pairing, so as the price has increased, it has balanced. The value goes up, but the CUB holdings go down.

Now I feel it is too late to get it out of there, but I am still attracted to the +130% yield earnings. Though, this might be "costly" in the longrun - however, it isn't a direct loss, it is a loss of upside - it is still up. What I will do though is take whatever CUB it into the Kingdom for "safer" keeping.

And from here you can get your...

Of course!

While I know lots of impatient people on this, I don't mind as long as it is worth it in the longrun - why rush? Perhaps everyone is so tired of working late on a Friday night that they just want to quit their jobs as soon as possible so they have more time to spend doing nothing. I like working - it gives me something to do and often, something to write about. What do you write about if you do nothing?

Well, Seinfeld managed it.

It is nice to get a little hype on CUB though and for those who BTFD a few weeks back at 24 cents, they have doubled their value since, as the price is now sitting just under, though for a bit last night, it did cross the 50 cent threshold for a couple hours. Is this the top?

I don't think so.

But is it is going to be interesting to see where it goes from here, as while initially the pump is likely CUB perma-bulls, what is really required is that there is new money coming into the community to drive the value and support a higher floor. Yes - the technical floor is always zero, but when there is demand and incentive to hold, zero doesn't happen.

CUB Finance has been a good hedge for me over the last year and while there is a lot of other potential places out there, it has meant that I have been consistently earning a little daily and most importantly, not losing any of what I hold. This has allowed me to steady expand holdings without a lot of risk and on the total value I have in there, I am averaging over 40% APY, which is nothing to sneeze at.

If this all comes together for CUB holders, there are going to be a lot of very happy people out there and it might be reminiscent of how the early-in Splinterlands players felt toward the end of 2021, when prices went insane on cards and assets that many of them, didn't even pay for directly. And it is this that I am hoping for in regards to the Hive community as a whole, as I love it when people are making gains on their hard work, activity, investments and support of the communities themselves.

Fair warning though, what goes up will likely come down too, and I know that a lot of people are also likely to get burned on their investments, as they will ape in expecting it to only go further into the green. That is unlikely - but, that doesn't mean there isn't value to be had long-term, quite the opposite.

I have a fair amount of CUB currently, so I am hoping that there will be the +1 dollar mark and more reached, but I think that is dependent on having more external investment coming in. I will likely take a little profit here and there to use to return into other tokens, but I do plan on sticking it through long, especially if I can keep getting the returns that I have been getting for the last 6 months. A couple years of that, and things are looking very different in life.

This is especially true if CUB keeps increasing on the hype while other tokens like BTC keep decreasing, because it will mean that there is a conversion possible that can still earn in various pools as a liquidity provider, whilst waiting for the next run up, which I hope is going to eclipse the last. 67K on Bitcoin isn't near what it can reach and if it goes past that again, I feel the alts are going to gain more ground on it again, so the compounded value across tokens will be quite extreme.

I don't know precisely wen, but I can tell you without a shadow of doubt, it will happen...

Soon!

Crypto soon, that is.
