That is true, immigration was used to traditionally fill different roles. However, we are going to be confronted with a situation where developed nations are facing demographic issues so there will be a lot more competition for those workers.
Also, as the economies of the underdeveloped world advance, we will likely see the same trend away from the trades in those countries. So what happens if we see a similar fallout there?
