Crypto gaming dapps: an average user weekly update
Well, it's been a busy week in my crypto gaming universe. Some major progresses and a couple new games in my list.
Starting today, I'll publish a weekly update on every game I played the last seven days, sorted by the blockchain / platform I play the game on.
And the first one is Hive.
Boy, did I buy the spellbook... And nine packs...
I'm addicted to this game. I sold my hard earned 2 GAS (and a NEO! But I sold it in a market that takes its time to transfer the funds so I didn't use it) to buy the spellbook. Unlocked everything and realised that my power was still too low to promote to the next division, bought five packs. Got this bad boy that literally wins fights by himself, got promoted, needed more power, bought four more packs (I didn't have any more money) and realised I needed way more power and settled in my division.
I do the daily quests and, so far, I have had a different outcome every time. The first day I got a card, the second day I got 15 DEC (the in-game currency, tradable both in and out of the game) and today I got a potion that enhances my chances of getting gold foiled cards for a period of time.
I keep on playing after completing the daily quests to earn more DEC and to learn how to properly play. With the DEC earned in two days and a half I purchased two cards and still have half of the coins.
I'm really enjoying it.
Not much going on for me, just collecting the UPX my properties generate. Got a big one that gives me more than 80% of the total. I'm buying a mix of FSAs (price protected properties for new players) and normal lots, selling the max 2 FSAs per week and reinvesting the money in more real estate.
There was a lot of action surrounding the game, with a new NFT Block Explorer and some cards launched in Blockchain Heroes.
My hype and hope for this game remain intact.
I play this while I wait for my opponent in splinterlands, basically. My character keeps levelling up, upgrading his equipment, completing quests and getting his ass kicked at the arena.
Well, this is the first defeat I have to admit. As you can see, my character's health is too low, he can't work, he can't hunt, he has nothing to eat, nowhere to sleep and no money that helps. I'm stuck and starting to think that my time here is done.
My two teams keep their regular routine, doing their shifts, earning money and getting upgrades.
After a few slow days, today I decided to invest some of my CBM coins at the Academy. I rented it for 24 hours and I'm crafting yeast. I misunderstood one of the requirements and asked for help at their discord and the mod was extremely fast and helpful.
Time for Wax now...
I finally purchased the arena. I was expecting a much bigger difference in income but even after upgrading it my main income source is still the casino.
Nowhere near the top 20 yet...
I actually started playing last week but I didn't fully understand the mechanics and the goals of the game and I forgot about it. I'm giving it a second chance, I try to keep them busy working and I bought some apparently useless tools. Still don't think I understand it...
Next blockchain: EOS.
I started playing it today. It looks like a well drawn idle RPG but after the first few levels I kinda feel stuck...
Another game I started playing today, and this is an idle RPG. And the characters grind a lot. I discovered it through the Wombat wallet and I got a reward just by signing up through them, big enough to buy four heroes and level the six of them up to the 11th level.
I'm liking it...
A super cute little game I started playing last week and don't fully understand yet but looks promising.
Let's take a quick look at my Doge game...
It's a pure idle game for me. It only have a bit of suspense on Fridays because you get a random gift between 1 and 100 doge. I got 4 each week.
The website was down when I was writing this review so I'm using the same pic I used in my last post.
I'll finish this week with the Ethereum blockchain:
Sorare benefited from the profits made by selling GAS: I finally bid for a card (and lost it, but I don't care, I didn't even want it) completing at last the introductory quest and unlocking the actual game. I still suck. My teams are basic crap. But it will get better, I'm sure.
An idle RPG I've been playing daily for the last two or three weeks and I forgot to even mention it in my last post. I think that pretty much sums it. The thing is that I like the game but I'm stuck. And it's way too expensive.
Phew, it took me way longer than expected to write this post! It's half three already!
