Investing More Into Splinterlands ~

Untamed packs are all gone and I think FOMO has started to set in for many new and old players me included. I did grab some packs before it sold out (luckily!) but think there are some cards that may have some potential in the future when land comes out and when new players join. Of course this is all speculations so I decided to spend whatever DEC I had on some cards I see some potential. This is just some of my thoughts with the limited money I have and I may continue once I have a nice amount of DEC saved up. So here we go!
First card has to be the goblin thief. I use it all the time and I think it is a highly under rated cards from the Untamed series. People see it as a common card, no value therefore won't be useful. But from past experience from previous editions, many common cards are as usual as some of the epics and legendaries. The sneak ability has always my favourite and if you level it up to level 6 onwards, there is also the shatter ability which is useful to take on any cards with shield instantly. Remember to look at the card ability, not the rarity.
The second card I chose to buy a small amount of is Shieldbearer. I use this card often and can see the high life and shield already to start off with. Not to mention the taunt ability gives your team an advantage if used correctly. I have bought enough just to level up to level 5 if needed to get the shield ability if needed but at this stage, I'll keep the card as singles in the hope I can survive with what I have. I've seen many high level players use this card so maybe it has potential to be a highly sought card later when more players join.
Lastly I wanted to get a few legendary cards in case they shoot up in price. I find the legendary cards are not only useful in most cases but they do keep their value which is great for small players like myself. I chose to buy the cheapest from the Untamed series which is Gloridax Magus. To be honest, I don't use this card at all but I see the potential not because of the low price at the moment but the blast ability. Look at the other monsters and summoners with the blast ability, they are doing super well in each game so taking the risk and go a handful of them with the remaining DEC I had. Fingers crossed things go well as the marketcap for Splinterland is going higher and higher each week, more players are joining, and more features of the game is getting released!
