Your story is inspiring. My efforts on Hive have been more recreational than a serious venture. Still, it took me quite some time to get to 6000 HP. I cheated a little. I bought in to get me to Minnow. It was driving me crazy as a plankton. It seems like getting to 7000 will be less challenging. I'm excited to hear about the compounding.
