Shopify CEO wants to Integrate the Company into the DeFi Ecosystem

Shopify's CEO Tobi Lutke turned to Twitter to get answers to what role his companies can play within the DeFi ecosystem.

Lutke shared a question on his Twitter account asking the crypto community what role Shopify can play in this growing industry.

Lutke asked the crypto community about trading opportunities in the DeFi space and received hundreds of responses. The answers also included various suggestions, such as a request to support Bitcoin Lightning payments and ensuring stablecoin integration. There were also those who felt that the platform should partner with Compound (COMP) and Aave (AAVE).

It seems that the Shopify CEO is impressed by DeFi's open and unauthorized nature. If any DeFi-powered feature is to be featured on the Shopify platform, it will likely be a pretty good sign for DeFi adoption. Shopify is one of the most important companies in Canada and has advanced a lot in online transactions.
