Well think again, turns out the new big thing is for self checkout machines to prompt users for a tip ๐
I may not be the biggest fan of tipping, especially when they try to manipulate and guilt trip me into it. And ok, I get that in some countries, stuff heavily relies on it to make a living wage...
But come fucking on? Tip a fucking self checkout machine?
Despite having zero interaction with employees during transactions, self-checkout machines at places such as coffee shops, bakeries, airports and sports stadiums are giving customers the option to leave the typical 20% tip, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal. source
I'll be honest. The only scenario I see myself tipping a self checkout machine is if the machine comes in the form of a sexy AI chick that sucks my dick.
