Better days nearer as SportsTalkSocial Ads Revenue rounds 0.0005 BTC at first Shot
It is imperative that the Hive tribes are now getting to action to maximize the power of Hive's second layer as the business layer for Hive. Thanks to @LeoFinance for showing the way to get it done and now, several tribes are copying the model to be able to grow their token and have it thrive in the crypto market. Seven days ago, the @Sportstalksocial tribe took a bold step to increasing it revenue to help fund its proposals or burn SPORTS off the market. Thanks to Patrickulrich for being on the mill over the last three months to restore life to the underutilized SPORTS tribe and token.
It was exciting to read in the February ad revenue report that about $25 was earned from ads. That looks small but definitely a great way to start, at least better than having nothing come in.
Now that we are a month in to the new advertising system for SportsTalkSocial.com we are already half way to making a BTC payout for the ads we've run! I anticipate that by the report next month that I'll also be reporting new revenue for the @sports-gov account to use. As it stands now we have 0.00051195 BTC (~$25) accumulated thus far with a requirement of 0.001 BTC for withdrawal.
At a time when BTC is on the run towards $100k, 0.0005 BTC should not be taken for granted. Already, we have improved engagement on the https://www.sportstalksocial.com/ frontend which means more ad impressions and clicks which would eventually bring much more ad revenue.
Prior to the above report, ads on Sportstalksocial was only visible on pages with less than 500k SPORTS Power. It was actually an incentive for users to power-up SPORTS in order not to see ads. However, only a handful of SPORTS stakeholders have 500k SPORTS Power. In fact, the top 100 stakeholders hold at least 1.8 miilion SPORTS in stake which is over 3 times the threshold to see ads. A user like myself with over 70 million SPORTS and actively engaging the blockchain cannot see ads and that's much revenue lost in the air.
With the improved engagement in the STS tribe as witnessed in the last one month, there is hope to hit the 0.001 BTC withdrawal limit from ad revenue site in the coming weeks when the proposal for sports ads to be seen by users with 50 Billion SPORTS Power. read details in this proposal. I think I'm beginning to smell a new target SPORTS stake of 1 billion or more. I think it's just possible when things begin to happen quickly from this end.
Alexa ranking holds the sportstalk website among top 489k websites globally. Already, there is a record 9.45 minutes of daily time on site by visitors, as well as a high 6.2 pageviews per visitor which keeps the sportstalk website as top engaged on Hive blockchain among the tribes interface. This is just a tip of an iceberg with only a little over 200 active users. Let's look into the future when we'll have at least 1k active users on the platform, then, sportstalk could rank among top 100k websites and that would have a gross effect on ad impressions, click and ads revenue generated.
We want to see expected positive change in ad revenue for SPORTS happen quickly and that within the next 24 hours. This is why I invite all SPORTS stakeholders who have not yet voted on the recent proposal by @Patrickulrich to do so immediately so the proposal gets passed and every active user on STS gets to see ads to increase our ad revenue.
I am regaining so much confidence in SPORTS token with the way things are unfolding which would help bring in more investors and new ones off the Hive chain ones wrapped-SPORTS comes to scene courtesy of Hive-engine diesel pools.
