NFTs and Play-to-earn: New Possibilities on LeoFinance

A short pen is said to be better than a long memory. It is so beautiful to see that the visions of LeoFinance casted months and years ago are gradually becoming material and relatable. After consuming a recent LeoFinance video update titled Exciting NFT Features on the Everything App, I remembered that talks about NFTs didn't start today. I surfed to see a few of those updates and feedback posts. Here are three:

In a first shot, @khaleelkazi hinted LEO NFTs and what the rollout of those will look like in the future. He had clearly stated 15 months ago that LeoFinance's focus with NFTs will be to integrate them in a seamless way as we presently see it roll out in Leothreads as social badges.

After these integrations, our focus will shift toward general app flow improvements. One day, a major feature release will focus on an NFT wallet.. coinciding with a LEO NFTs release. Our NFTs won't be your standard NFTs. As a Web3 community with a mobile app, we have a lot more flexibility and opportunity when it comes to leveraging certain NFT technology and integrating it directly into LeoMobile. [source]9)

It all gets Real on May 1, 2023

The cool part of NFTs as it relates with the LeoFinance project is that it would be made accessible for everyone through its Everything app to be launched on May 1, 2023. It would have been a mere play should NFT not be integrated in the much talked about "Everything Dapp" launched on Hive ahead of the Twitter version of Elon Musk.

Within three months of alpha mode, Leothreads has become a one stop dapp for full microblogging (text, videos, gifs, memes) with crypto earnings, decentralized polling, crypto wallet, and more.

In a second shot 11 months ago, @khaleelkazi also hinted how the Leo NFTs (LeoLegends) would metamorphose into a play-to-earn game. He explained the possibility of users to complete quests and cross-breed lions to earn even more NFTs and gain powerful features on LeoFinance's Web3 Interfaces for PC and mobile gadgets. I hope to see this as the first NFT and play-to-earn game outfit linked with microblogging.

LeoLegends is designed to be synergistic with hodling LEO. It's our very own Play-to-Earn Game. Everyone will start out with a basic lion cub NFT. The first iteration will include features where you can upgrade that Cub into a more mature Lion overtime. Upgrades will include traits like eye color, fur color, ears, teeth, tattoos, and many more accessories. source

It is epic that LeoFinance which premiered on Hive blockchain as Social-Fi community has successfully created usecases to cover the major possibilities that cryptocurrency and blockchain technology offer. Today, we now have microblogging, DeFi and now NFTs, and play-to-earn are in the bunker. It is a slow but defined journey to truly grant everyone access to crypto and other web3 products and possibilities.

The Effect on $LEO Token

The push first is to onboard the masses and make make crypto integration and access simpler than ever. This would have a relative effect on $LEO which has become the major token in the LeoVerse. There would be a growing demand for the LEO token and buying into it now could be a great investment decision.

There is no point debating if holding LEO could bring wealth in the future. It is a sure possibility but we may not be certain with the "wen". It's a call for a long haul. It's about the future and those whp understand how that works are not closing their eyes on the opportunities as they open up.

Let's watch how things unveil in the coming days, but it's better to get involved and not just be a spectator.
