The brand new Hive Engine: A review (UI/UX friendliness, trading transparency and more..) and Tutorial

Do you have the need of building your businesses and communities on blockchain with feeless transactions, speed and capacity to scale your community? Then, Hive-Engine is where you have to build on. I personally did not get worried about low earnings at the main layer even as a new user, as I was able to find favourable second layer niches that favour my contents with rewards as well as giving me opportunity to invest as a curator with smaller budget but with bigger returns. When I say that I have earned over $20,000 on Hive, over 70% is from the second layer and I have been using my second layer earnings to build my main layer stakes.

We all know that a car engine is always hidden but the usefulness of the car won't be achieved if the engine isn't functional. Similarly, for every good play shown at the cinema, there's a lot of work backstage and until that is seen, the vale of the play may be underestimated.

Though Hive is still unknown to a lot of people in the blockchain world and cryptoverse, a good number of the users on Hive are yet to understand that there is an engine somewhere that has given a new face to operations of the Hive blockchain.

Any Hive user not engaging in full the products of the hive-engine protocol is only utilizing a very small fraction of Hive's true potential. It’s like you’ve been using the Death Star to charge your phone. Hive Engine helps the Hive user to unlock unlimited possibilities by adding a layer of functionality that seamlessly integrates with the Hive blockchain.

In fact, 90% of Hive communities now have a stake in hive-engine and that means hive-engine is the bedrock for the full functionalities of Hive communities and we all know what the communities represent in today's Hive economy and reward system.

Spot the new Improvements

Sometime last year, the Hive Engine team announced that Hive-engine will be on a re-build and they gave us an alternative Tribaldex. Glad to wake up this morning to see a new https://hive-engine.com/. This is one of the pinned tabs on my PC's browser.

I personally spotted about 10 improvements in the Hive-engine user interface and they're really beautiful to behold and engage in the course of managing your Hive tokens on the second layer.

  • 1. Dark mode: Every internet user/trader would know the worth of a dark mode UI especially during night transactions. It's simply beautiful to use.
  • 2. Summary of Wallet Worth: You can now know at a glance the total worth of your hive-engine tokens (staked, liquid and delegated).
  • 3. Deposit and Withdrawal strategically located: looks more simple and easier to operate.
  • 4. Summary of Token Worth in USD: The total value of the token held is summarized including liquid, staked and delegated.
  • 5. Delegation details: In the previous version, it was hard to see at a glance how much token is delegated. Now, it's clearly displayed,
  • 6. Dynamic token management buttons: The buttons in front of a token now displays according to the "possible" operations that can be carried out. For example, if you do not have a liquid balance, there would be no "stake button highlighted". See in the screenshot below in the case of LEO and LIST tokens.

Same operations are possible for LEO and LIST tokens, however, since I do not have a staked balance of LEO in my wallet at the time of this screenshot, there is no "unstake button". Similarly, all of my staked LEO are already delegated to my alt, thus, I cannot "delegate" at this moment until I have a staked balance.

An elaborate Information page at the point of Trading

Many users do not know the importance of this "tutorial button. It's now available at the market page of hive-engine. This is important to give an investor a summarized outlook of the token to be purchased or sold.

LEO for instance as a 28 days for powerdown and that in 4 transactions. Meaning, a quarter of the staked amount would become liquid in 7 days. Delegation retrieval also takes about 5 days. These information should not be overlooked by any hive-engine token investor.

Trading Transparency

Prior to this new version, it was impossible to know which user is buying or selling a token at a glance until the explorer is used. Now, the user selling/buying a token and what quantity is displayed in the transaction history.

The order details in the market page also gives a simplified explanation of token volumes to be purchased or sold in a particular order. With this, those who found it difficult to understand the cumulative "total Hive" can trade better.

YOu cna still swap your hive-engine tokens using the Dswap codes. This gives you an instant purchase and may be useful for arbitrage opportunities between the many trading options we have.

The new version of Hive Engine is simply beautiful and would offer a seamless trading experience for Hive users.
