A lot of true facts and thoughts in this post. I am a strong believer on the mass unemployment due to digitalization / AI / robotics. These jobs are especially destroyed at the low-end of the spectrum which is exactly where high unemployment is right now making it a double punishment for those people.

I hate even the thought of basic income but I do not see a way out of it.

What is also worrying is that if people don’t work they tend to have more mental issues and to become “dumber” if they do not put their time into challenging hobbies /activities.

Scary....
