FINALLY, the SEC is going after the Bitconnect Ponzi influencers !

It is charging US-based influencers:

  • Trevon Brown (aka Trevon James),
  • Craig Grant,
  • Ryan Maasen and
  • Michael Noble (aka Michael Crypto)

According to the complaint, the promoters received commissions based on their success in soliciting funds.

Even if there were no criminal charges, it feels good knowing that at least they might have a big fine to pay and their name forever linked to a Ponzi Scheme.

The Indian police also arrested promotor Divyesh Darji in 2018, and Australian authorities filed charges against John Bigatton a few months ago.

Huh... DA !

If you promote a scam and get paid for it, why wouldn't you be prosecuted my dear Trevor?

He used to post his videos on Steemit and I remember a few members including myself downvoting them to oblivion.

I also wrote about the subject 4 years ago on this post back on Steemit: [Warning] Do Not Invest in BitConnect, it is a Ponzi Scam! Read these 10 Reasons Why

I surely hope it helped some people to not get tricked into this Ponzi.

This post was one of my biggest hit and when looking at it today, I can see there were a lot more comments and new users on these blogging paltforms at the time.

What's funny is that Bitconnect was giving daily return of 1%... Well, in the DeFi world, these returns are almost "common". Just saying ;)

This was the top of the Bull Market of 2017-2018, so maybe we can still move up a bit? Who knows !
