The Unicorn, NFT Drop In My OpenSeas Wallet

Today I logged into Openseas.io to take a peek at my WeirdWhale collection (which is fairly stagnant price wise right now) and saw a Unicorn, I have a few NFT pieces, but I hadn't seen a Unicorn in my wallet prior to day.

As it turns out, it's an Airdrop NFT of a 8000 piece collection, and I haven't quite figured out how they selected who to drop to. I have 2 theories, it's tied to my WeirdWhale collection OR they dropped it to people with MetaMask Wallets that are active on both ETH and Polygon and have an active collection of NFTs on OpenSeas.io

It seems like at this time it might be worth about $50 based on other current sales. Hardly worth trading on ETH. It's kind of cute, and the distribution of them is just 10 days old, so I'll hold it and try to learn more about it.

There is a website listed so I peaked to see if the project looked promising.

It seems you can still mint the Unicorns on Polygon and trade them on ETH later, which is interesting. They give a little rant on high gas fees on ETH, which most of us would agree with, but also helps keep the price of ETH assets up.

On their Website they also have a roadmap for the project which seems to be very new.

The gifting of the Unicorns is one of the first steps, so time will tell.

My conclusion is to wait and see, I mean no one is going to buy a $50 ETH NFT and pay $100 Gas fee at this time and why sell now if their project is new.

They don't have any Rarity Charts yet but they do have a wide variety of rarity traits, but I don't really know how rare mine would be in this collection.

Specific Traits of my Unicorn

Wouldn't it be a great NFT Story if this cute little Unicorn holds some value some day? Also a likely outcome, it's just a cute picture that sits in my wallet! :)
