A couple of days ago, I asked ChatGPT about a Web3 gaming g project that would be cool to work on and the first response I got was a lot like most card games we have on web3 already. Image source However, after further probing the AI, I was able to come up with an idea with their help that would be a really fun project to devote a few months to next year.

This was the idea the AI gave me

"Another idea for a fun web3 game could be a decentralized virtual world where players can create and customize their own avatars, build and decorate their own virtual spaces, and interact with other players in real time. The game could use a blockchain-based virtual currency that players can earn by participating in in-game activities or by selling virtual goods and items they have created. The game could also incorporate elements of popular sandbox and survival games, allowing players to explore and interact with their environment, complete quests and challenges, and compete against each other in various game modes. The use of web3 technology would allow for a truly decentralized and immersive gaming experience where players have full control over their own virtual assets and experiences"

This idea is pretty great, however, I modified it to seem more like a fusion of Age of Empires and BitMoji. So, users create their own avatars and then based on how much money their invest at the start, they can choose to create their own city which would be in the form of an NFT.

Those who own cities can then modify their cities accordingly, bringing a form of Monopoly gameplay into the game. By owning their own cities they get to create a means for their economy to flourish by making it open to users who can't afford to buy their own cities.

These users come in as workers who have daily tasks to complete and are then paid every 15 days after completing their daily tasks within that period.

The owners of these cities can set the parameters for people to get into their cities. Those who want only rich people can set a price of entry for their cities but what would also mean that the reward for working in their city would have to be a lot more than other users.

I have the entire gaming idea sorted out in my head so far, but for research purposes, I'll have to get a better understanding of how well this can work and how best to infuse these different games into one.

The idea seems so good and it's the sort of game I would enjoy playing. I'm giving myself 3 months, between January and March to have a design for this ready.

If I don't get a person to buy into the project, it'll be an amazing addition to my portfolio.
