I feel like having a tonne of uncompleted projects is one of the most important skills of being a creative person. This may not exactly be a skill but it’s something that I feel is a single common trait of pretty much all creative people I know.

An idea comes to mind and you jump on your laptop trying to make that idea a reality with the hopes of gaining some profit from it several times you end up dumping that project and moving on to a new project that comes into view. It’s normal.

I have several projects like that that I began with the hopes of gaining a certain amount of attention. A part of me still hopes that I can find the time to actually complete these projects because I feel like not completing something I start is an insult to the kind of person I want to be - A PERSON WHO ALWAYS FINISHES WHAT THEY START.

So, here are some of my most prized unfinished projects and the reason behind them being unfinished:

Leofinance mobile app redesign

I was so sure this app would be my ticket to financial freedom yet now that I look at it, all I see are mistakes and things I could do better. What makes me feel good though is the fact that it’s still better than the current @leofinance app for now at least. I could do so much better at the moment.

I stopped working on this redesign a long time ago because of other engagements that came up - from internships to group projects and all. I hope I get the time to work on it again this year though, whether or not it gets noticed. I had some amazing ideas for it.

A Web3 based survey-2-earn web application

I wrote extensively about this a few weeks ago, created a large document with my entire research, got on figma and designed half a page before the 2 jobs I’m working on finally came through. This has to be one of my biggest pains because of how much I loved the idea and really wanted to bring it into reality. I’m definitely coming back for it soon. I just don’t know how soon.

A Block Explorer

I don’t know if I could call this a completely uncompleted project coz I did it just to show an idea of how I thought the Hive Block Explorer could be. A part of me thought I would complete it but that didn’t happen.

A Promotion Website

I did this project initially as a capstone for my Webflow training but I really thought I was going to do some more work on it afterwards but I didn’t. It was also one of my prettiest designs.

The best portfolio ever!

This was my first-ever project that got developed. It’s a personal portfolio for a friend that I designed a while ago but didn’t complete because his demands started to become a little too silly. I didn’t understand why he wanted so many additions to it so after a while, we both stopped working on it. I guess he got bored but we both acknowledged that it was an amazing design with a lot of really cool interactions.

So far, these are the projects that I regret not completing and I keep my fingers crossed that I’ll actually complete them at some point. If you like any of them and you’d actually like to work on them together, I’m always open to adding some tasks to my current ones. Great ideas like these don't come by so often.
