I've seen a lot of posts about different exchanges or crypto related websites which embedded also a Learn and Earn programs. They promote from time to time certain tokens, you need to watch some videos, afterwards take a quiz and they advertise that you can earn up to $10 or more. They key factor here is the syntax "up to" which doesn't guarantee any amount and could be as low as $0.01 or as high as $10 or $20.

Few days or weeks ago I participated in a promotion on CoinMarketCap.com where they had KAVA rewards for proofing watching their videos and responding to the quiz. The KAVA token price is about $1.90 and as I thought it was a good value that I can exchange afterwards maybe in HIVE or LEO I've participated to the advertised promotion.

KAVA price on CoinMarketCap.com

Mail announcing that I was awarded KAVA tokens

From there on I went to the indicated web URL and claimed my tokens using a KAVA address and memo that I had on Binance. All seemed good and after claiming the rewards I have checked my KAVA balance on my wallet. Opening my eyes and looking at the awarded KAVA tokens I saw that I got only 0.2965. I thought that maybe it was a mistake, but after researching a little bit in more details the promised rewards were "up to" $10. It was clear at that point that they've got me this time and everything was a waste of time for only 0.2965 KAVA which means approximately $0.56, nowhere close to the advertised reward.

Going though this experience it is clear that there is somehow a false advertisement about these "Learn and Earn" programs as you can earn "UP TO" a specific amount. It is not guaranteed and I believe that it is anyhow set to a low value programmatically rather than you to have a chance at it. I wouldn't recommend for anyone loosing time with this even if they would find all responses online and they don't need to go through watching their videos. There are better things to do with your time and for sure better activities that reward you more.

This is a personal opinion through my experience with such Learn and Earn programs. Maybe others had better experiences or luck, but as long as such borderline advertisement is done this is not fair with the potential participants.
