Another metric that Splinterlands is pushing up is the overall volume on Hive Engine. A lot of the Splinterlands assets are traded on Hive Engine, like DEC, SPS etc. Some of them are traded only on Hive Engine, like tokenized packs, land etc.

The growth of Splinterlands has increased the overall volume on Hive Engine. At the moment of writing this, the official Hive Engine deposit account has around 2.7M HIVE locked in. This is already at a scale of medium exchange.

Here we will be looking at the volume that Hive Engine does in terms of deposits and withdrawals on the platform. It is a nice indicator of the state of the platform.

At the moment there are three major gateways for deposits and withdrawals on Hive Engine:

There are fees for deposits and withdrawals, 1% on Hive Engine and 0.25% on LeoDex and BeeSwap.

All the projects build on top of Hive are made possible by the custom_json data and Hive Engine. Splinterlands, dCity, Rising Star, CryptoBrewMaster and all the other games. Next the tribes, LeoFinance, ProofOfBrain, Palnet, Neoxian, Sports, Weed etc. The NFT platform NFTShowroom. Some other specific tokens like SPI, BRO etc. as well. Without a doubt Hive will be a much more boring place without Hive Engine and we should be grateful for it. This just shows the importance of the second layer.

The period that we will be looking at here is May 1st 2020 – July 31, 2021.

Deposits

For deposits we will be looking at the transfers to the Hive Engine @honey-swap account, @leodex and @hiveswap for BeeSwap.

Here is the chart.

The daily chart is a bit messy with a lot of spikes and ups and downs.
We can see the clear huge move up in the last month. Up to July 2021, the daily deposits were on average around 50k HIVE, and it the last period they are regularly above 100k, with a ATH on July 28th, with almost one million HIVE deposited in a single day.

A more raveling representation can be made if we look at deposits on a monthly level.

A better representation here.
We can see a steady growth till January 2021, then a lower amounts and in the last month a huge column with more than 5M HIVE deposited.

Interesting it looks like when the price of HIVE is low, more is being deposited to Hive Engine, and then when it goes up, less HIVE is deposited.

It is interesting to see share of the other platforms in deposits, the beeswap has increased a lot in the last month as well.

Who has deposited the most?

Here is the chart for the top accounts that deposited for July 2021.

The @token-converter account is dominant on the top with more than 1M HIVE deposited. As far as I know it is a Splinterlands account for in game Hive. On the second spot is @fullclip, followed by @toni.point.

Withdrawals

Next the withdrawals. Here is the chart for the daily withdrawals.

This chart seems to be following the deposits, just with smaller intensity.

The monthly chart for withdrawals looks like this.

A similar pattern as for the deposits. A record high withdrawals in July with 4M HIVE withdrawn. The deposits were 5M

This is for all the three gateways.

Who has withdrawn the most?

Here is the chart for the top accounts that withdrew in the period.

@toni.point is on the top with 340k HIVE withdrawn, followed by the @cryptoeater and @fullclip.

Individual platforms share

Here is the chart for the share of the deposits of Hive Engine, LeoDex and BeeSwap.

The Hive Engine account @honey-swap has 73% share of the deposits, followed by the BeeSwap @hiveswap account with 16% and then @leodex with 11%.

Although lower fees, the other two platforms have a smaller share then the official Hive Engine, mostly because of the high liquidity on @honey-swap.

All the best @dalz
