I set myself a goal and made a project out of it for the last three months of the year 2020.

The project is called

Summit 3300

The goal is

To see how much I can acquire (in BTC, as much as possible) from my current and new resources, be it online or in the real world

Read the introductory post with the guidelines

BTC Trading

This is a special channel so I will simply call it

0 - BTC

Description

I dedicated an undisclosed amount of Euros to trading. With trading I don't mean automatic trades or anything fancy like professional traders are doing. No, I will occasionally sell when I see the top and buy when I feel the bottom. I won't be extra careful yet I won't rush to every change either.

To follow the outcome I will describe an initially invested amount as 100 units. This way we will be directly able to see the result in percentages.

Interval

I will trade as I see fit, see above, and report weekly. Preferably every Friday evening.

Actions

My exchange of choice is Bitstamp. My trade fee there is 0.5 %.

After the initial buy, I will sell it when the prize will be at least 0.5 % higher. And I will then sell it when the price will fall at least 0.5 % under the last buy value. And so on.

Of course, I won't catch every change of direction. On occasion, I'll find myself waiting for the right change of direction for a long time. Yet in the end, I hope, the result will be positive. We'll see how positive will it be.

Actions So Far

This is the movement of the BTC/EUR trading pair in the last few days.

My actions so far are the initial buy three days ago and a sale this afternoon.

DateTypeRateIn EURIn BTCResult %Change %
06.10.2020Buy9078.06 €099.5-0.5-
09.10.2020Sell9368.46 €102.1702.172.67

I hope that the columns above are self-explanatory. The initial Result % is -0.5 % because of the fee. The fee is also included in the sell trade.

Index values of In BTC and In EUR will alternatively be zero depending on the type of trade.

As you can see, my first trade brought me a profit of 2.17 %. Nice.

Outcome and Status

With three trades done, the table with channels looks like follows. There is a new line in the table, the first one, which will indicate BTC trading. Since it is an index value and not an absolute number it won't be included in the total.

Next

In the days after my second report, I was thinking of possible channels to add to the portfolio. There is Hive, Hive-Engine assets, Scorum, altcoins that are lying around and doing nothing, ... Lots of opportunities.

There are also more exotic options like mining newly minted coins which will come out in the next days. Can you guess which coin I have in mind?
