Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I can definitely empathise with a few of them. I avoid phone calls too and have really this year focused on building and maintaining a schedule to increase my personal productivity.

I use a trusty notepad for a daily task list and use the productivity app Trello to maintain where I'm up to with all of my various work tasks. If you haven't used Trello before, I highly recommend it.
