The start

A couple of years ago I got enthusiastic about cryptocurrencies. It seemed all my colleagues and friends had them except me and I was missing out on all the fun and profits (FOMO!).
I had a small amount of money I could miss which I invested in some crypto coins. Just to play around a bit and it became a success. My investment my investment quintupled in just a few days back in december 2017. But then 2018 arrived and there came no end to the bleeding. I made some mistakes by trading emotionally. Soon I was back where I started.
In 2019 things were going better. I regained interest and went into the trading bots. It was slightly profitable, but since I had to pay for a bot too it wasn't clearly a succes.
And then in 2020 I decided to invest mid-term. It went well until the second half of 2020 when value decreased with 30%. I got really fed up with checking Blockfolio every day.

Hive

And then I discovered Hive back in August. I liked the idea of a social platform where users were being rewarded for creating quality content. After posting some photography blogs I received some Hive and got enthusiastic.
I started discovering how the Hive principles work and found out more about other interesting projects on the Hive blockchain.
Hive seemed like a fun way to interact with people and also being payed for it.
After powering up my Hive account during two Hive Power Up days my rewards slowly stared increasing.

LeoFinance

Over a week ago I started using the Leofinance interface. I had seen a lot of activity around Leo. One of the cool things about Leofinance is the interaction among the users. There are way more reactions on posts. I'm no crypto expert, but I do like to talk about it so I kept following Leo posts too.

dCITY

Since I also like games I started playing some Hive games. I've played Splinterlands for a while, but that's not my thing. I also 'play' Cryptobrewmaster, but since this is still in Alpha there is not that much to play yet.
And then I found another cool project; dCITY. I've played Sim City for hours and hours in the past and I like the idea that the City is generating coins for you.

Investment

After three months on Hive I'm still discovering new things. There's a lot of activity and new projects pop up every week. There surely is a lot of potential.
So I decided to gather what was left of my initial investment in crypto and invest it in Hive related projects.
As you can see I've already built a small town in dCITY. With the rest of the money I powered up my Hive and Leo. After powering up I have over 800 Hive now and over 1000 Leo.
Let's see where this will go...
