A thing to keep in mind is that Google shows results based on the profile they have of you. Even when you're not logged in they have a profile based on IP and cookies.
When you're searching your own content it's likely that Google knows what you want to see...

I always give the example of searching for "Nails".
Men will probably get results of hardware stores where women will get manicure salons.

It's not that black and white, but it is something you have to keep in mind.
You can try searching in incognito mode with a VPN enabled or use the Tor browser (has an integrated VPN).
