This week was pretty much dictated by Hive's Hard Fork and the many problems that it caused or is still causing. Most of my games had some kind of issue with the fork so my activity was rather low over all this week. There also was the wLEO hack but luckily I had no stake in the liquidity pool and it seems Leo is going to recover from that setback.

I still did really well in some of my games and with eXode just about to release its next test build things are looking pretty good for the very near future.

Again, most of my gains went straight into accumulating more DEC for the coming land presale, so my Hive Power increase has been rather modest. I now have a total of 5.493 Hive powered up, which is an increase of just about 50 Hive compared to last week.

Let's have a look at the games I'm playing!

Splinterlands

Last season, I missed the top ranks due to work and while competition got a little harder, I managed to place high enough in the leader board to win some Untamed packs this time.

I didn't get anything great out of the boosters, but winning them still felt great. I have to admit that I'm not the biggest fan of the leaderboard rewards and I'd prefer to see some kind of end of season tournament. I'll make a separate article on that topic in the coming days probably.

Anyway I'm pretty happy with my progress in Splinterlands and it certainly feels like I'm on the right track here. The liquidity pool is also going pretty good so far.

I was a little worried to loose some of my DEC in the pool, but with both currencies in the green, it seems that fear was unfounded. Together with my holdings outside the pool, I now have a little more than 500,000 DEC gathered up. Depending on when the presale is going to be exactly I might have to buy some more with funds from outside of Hive but I'm still pretty happy with what I managed to gather so far.

I've also found another active referral for the game and I really hope to build on that once the new player experience gets better which shouldn't be too far away.

eXode

I know I've been saying that a lot, but it seems things are finally coming together for eXode. This Sunday, we'll see the release of the new test build and this one will finally have Evacuation gameplay again!

While the test run won't have rewards yet, it will pretty much resemble the version that will introduce these rewards. Once the most glaring issues are fixed for this new version, we'll finally see leaderboards and actual rewards.

I expect so see activity around eXode to surge a lot at that point and from that point on I'll start blogging about the game a lot again. I have a lot of contract cards stocked up to onboard new players and I really can't wait to play the hell out of eXode.

If you did not play the Alpha version yet, it's probably best to wait until the more stable version of the next test build is released as the first test run is bound to have a lot of bugs and other oddities, though.

Rabona

After a pretty decent last season my team is faring a lot worse this time around. Contrary to my initial problems because of my team being so bad at 4-3-3, I now simply have one of the worse teams overall in the league.

To tell the truth, I'm not sure what to do about that right now. It seems like 2 of the relegation ranks are reserved for the NPCs, so that leaves me with 2 other teams I need to beat. I've already saved up about 800,000 Rabona and I need 2,000,000 to get my stadium to the next level.

Long term I feel like doubling my stadium's capacity should benefit me a lot more than buying some better players right away.

Two of my next three matches are against top teams in the league. If I'm still above the relegation ranks after these matches, I'll just try to make it without changing anything. If I'm below the line, I'll probably spend my RBN to improve my team. With only one team going up each season, recovering from league 3 would probably be really hard to pull off.

Cryptobrewmaster

It's been a pretty slow week for Cryptobrewmaster. After the recent changes, I just stand by and wait for the next features that are going to be added to the game.

With the addition of an actual market, the economy should change a lot. Until then, I'll just gather the free ingredients and try to bring more players to the game like I always do.

On that matter, I found another 5 players this week and now have 227 referrals in the game. Cryptobrewmaster also just announced that they will rework their referral rewards system and that they will nerf the amount of experience gained or increase the amount of experience needed to reach the next level. This is a good move in my opinion as I was already at level 298 which is simply not sustainable.

Rising Star

Much like with Cryptobrewmaster, I've been taking it rather slow in Rising Star. The game is still in the middle of being made more long term viable and I applaud all measures taken to do so. Right now, though, there are almost daily changes, sometimes really shaking up the way it's played.

It's still half a month until Rising Star will release into Beta, so I'd expect things to keep changing a lot in the coming days.

Remarkably, a lot of the NFTs have gone up in value a lot in the last weeks because of that. While you could buy a Tour Coach at 3000 Starbits or less a lot of the time, they are traded for 4 times more than that right now. It will be interesting to see how that changes once the new cards from the Beta Edition are added to the mix but right now I feel like I made quite the bargain on these vehicles.

Holybread

I'm still waiting for the new version of Holybread. Until then, I'm slowly building up my hero but I found me doing a lot less quests this week than I did the weeks before.

From what I've seen, the new concepts sound really promising, though. While I still think the artwork is really awful the new design seems to be really good and the dungeon crawling aspect is a lot more interesting than the current idle game we have.

Townstar

I've made a separate article about Townstar last weekend. While I feel like the game has some potential and I'm sure we'll hear more from Gala Games down the line, I don't feel like Townstar is worth my time right now.

If you have not checked it out yet, it's fun for some hours, but I don't see myself playing it again any time soon. Because of that, I'll remove it from the the list of games I talk about next week.

Conclusion

And that's all from me today. As you can see, a lot is changing in the world of Hive and #hivegaming right now with some of the top games struggling to get their economy right and others just about to release promising new versions.

If things go as I hope, I'll be really busy playing all these games in the coming weeks. Until then, thank you all for reading and see you next time!
