It appears the Nigerian government has been prying into the affairs of Nigerians in the cryptoverse .. Recently @belemo made a post talking about how the Nigerian government (paraphrased) is ignorant enough not to tax earners in cryptocurrency , as it has been a free ride for Nigerians dealing with Cryptocurrency . Not long after this post Nigerians are hit with the most shocking news from the Central bank of Nigeria (CBN) banning all forms of Crypto transactions in Nigeria, and this has been effected with immediacy , as major local fintech companies have backed out ,it shows how effective the government is at backwardness, as more pressing issues exist in the country which are left unattended.

Typical of the Nigerian government to cut short reasoned progress for its citizen, dealing in cryptocurrency for many Nigerians is seen a main stay , many trade , many do exchanges and some of us just create content and earn Cryptocurrency! and in the most sincere form, needless to say that it is Legit .. Some flawed theorist have come up with the idea that this decision by the Federal government of Nigeria is a good one , to stop the level of internet fraud , I totally call BS on this ! Some also say it's as a result of the recent #endsars movement in Nigeria, as Cryptocurrency was suggested as a means to fund the peaceful protest since the same backward government froze some accounts. This is a more valid claim than the theory of fraud.. Many fraudsters aren't even smart enough to understand the technologies embedded in Blockchain, the government too ! The government cannot seem to track the influx of funds through cryptocurrency, and how seamless the process is..

As @belemo revealed in his post, it appears the Nigerian government cares about your internet money, they want us all broken 🤡. The ignorance and the evident backwardness of the Nigerian system as regards finance and every other facet of government, it would have been much better for them to tax earners in Cryptocurrency instead of putting a ban on it ! This is the most pathetic decision I've yet seen, amongst others.
Putting up a VAT on crypto transactions would have been much better than this apparent display of ineptitude and pride in folly !... My very good friend @nonsowrites has been blessed hugely by dealing in cryptocurrency, creating amazing contents on the hive platform, more than 50% of his earnings is from being a content creator , and Cryptocurrency is his goldmine, and the government decides to put out a ban !? Many other Nigerians on here can relate.. But then the only thing I'm thankful for is the doggedness of Nigerians…We move , still on this Crypto-buzz.. I certainly hope this position doesn't escalate to apprehending persons with apps like Binance on their personal devices... In crypto we believe, lol.
