They just don't understand.

Someday, they will.

But not today.

We are still a long way from my dad sending me bitcoin for my birthday.

My friends joining a splinterlands league or my kids owning their own web3 accounts.

To the majority of people a lot of this would just be gibberish.

What's an NFT?

Where is the web3?

Sending digital money to my account and using a DEX to swap tokens for a DEFI account.

I can see the confusion.

It is a lot to take in at the start and we are far from there.

But we will get there, someday.

We need a beginner level for crypto.

Apps that sign up the same as always and feel like the old system.

That allow you to create a new avatar. The same as always. Then maybe mint it onto a chain yourself, this would give them an introduction to nft's. How minting works, how immutable accounts work, how trades work, how secondary markets work. All from an app that feels like every other app.

Beginner steps for a complicated topic.

Games that let you in just like the old versions. Then you earn tokens and cards like splinterlands.

Suddenly you have nft's, crypto, defi, trading, cross chain operations all level by level and learn the ropes.

It doesn't have to happen all at once like with hive. We need intermediary steps to bring people in gradually and then teach them as they dig a bit deeper into the workings of the apps.

A common trend.

I noticed a common trend in the posts that appeared after the xmas break. A lot of people met friends and family in situations where crypto came up in conversation.

This is natural as most people know that you have an interest in the subject and want to have a chat.

Most just don't understand and get that blank look.

The more you try to explain crypto, the more blank looks that you get and the further they edge away from the conversation.

Maybe that's why Khal called the new app, "Project Blank."

To have an app that bypasses those blank looks and brings in the users to level one. The beginner level and entryway to the matrix.

An invite to see the rest.

I hope that we will see the first app that can do this in big numbers.
