too often its just the people who cannot really afford to lose anything, who get trapped, in the hope to better their situation

Yeah, unfortunately, I know people like that and I always try to emphasise around educating yourself about something but oftentimes, emotions around their situation take control over logic and it's understandable. Traps are everywhere.

About Capital Gains Tax:

Really, in the UK, they aren't far away from taking the whole cake in terms of tax and making it follow the same route as Capital Gains where as little as £2000 in gains could be subject to a 20% CGT. This was recommended by our Office of Tax Simplification recently which reports to the Chancellor (bloke in charge of UK finances) and already everyone is preparing, not just with crypto but all assets (they are considered under the same wing here). In my view, I think they would have killed BTC by now rather than 12 years on and beyond, they'll look at ways of leveraging it, particularly with the amount of money that can be made but we'll see how it pans out!

Yeah, there was a time - a short time - when Steem was even $5 or $6... Everybody had high hopes then. :) Many already talked how it would be if it goes to $1000 or even $10.000. Well, it always allowed to dream... :)

Ah well, pipe dreams are always fun!
