Hi! Somebody on twitter, asked me pretty much the same. Here's what I replied:

There are no newly created ones. All have been minted already 3 years ago. The ones you get for free are actually bought by the team from the ad revenue. There were some coins "locked" that were slowly released (e.g. for marketing) but now they are almost over too

So yeah. You will still get paid :D
