What console gaming on the blockchain!
This is a big deal for the world of crypto gaming as it means players will be able to own and trade items while playing on their favourite console. The news is still early and I do not know if you would have a wallet directly on your PS5 but either way it is an exciting to think of the possibilities of being able to earn income from playing on the new system. At least be able to earn enough to pay for the system :p.
More User Friendly
The advantage of PS5 blockchain gaming over PC gaming is it can be more user friendly for people who don't want to get into too much customisation. With PC gaming you need to download wallets and learn more about how to utilise crypto but these steps should be cut down with a console as much games are designed to be pick up and play. This will lead to a whole community of gamers who will be buying and selling in-game items because the game is fun and not even thinking about the fact that it is on the blockchain.
How It Would Work
I don't know if there will be an Enjin wallet on your console and your items would be held on the console itself or if they will be held in a game wallet that is on the cloud or the servers of the company. I'm assuming it would be the latter as it would be much easier for players to not have to manage any of the goods themselves and they would be able to access them by logging into their account. This would make it less secure as a third party would need to be involved but must players would not know the difference and would just be happy making money doing something they were doing anyways.
What Is Six Dragons
The game is a first person open world RPG where you travel around fighting monsters and getting loot. These are the perfect blockchain games as loot is commodity that has in-game value. The better the loot the stronger your character so it can sell well on the market place if there are enough people playing the game. You can also craft items so that will lead to a whole market place where players can work on making items to sell to players.
I don't know if this will be a full-time job for any players or even if the wallet will work well enough on a console but it is exciting news non-the-less. The problem with any blockchain dapp is that it is not user friendly enough. If we are going to appeal to the masses people need to not know they are using something on the blockchain and are just using the dapp because it is a good application to use. Then when they realise they can make money on top of it people will not want to go back.
