Travel the World of Postage Stamps - Fighting Cocks - Pinto (Gallus gallus domesticus) - Cuba 1981 - Michel Cuba 2564 - my hobby.

Greetings friends!

Our planet is large, and it is difficult to visit all its corners, especially if you were born in a country that was behind the steel curtain of your ambitions and the desire to see the world could be regarded as treason.

But, for postage stamps there are no borders and passport control, only if you do not want to transport rare postage stamps through the customs post without declaring them.

Post marks show us the mood and preferences of people, their view of the beautiful and other aspects of life.

When I look at a series of Fighting Cocks stamps issued on the island of Cuba in 1981, I understand how differently people look at birds, in this case, roosters.

For example, Gaalia, the territory of what is now France, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands, symbolized the rooster with freedom and independence.

On postage stamps from the series, we see roosters as a symbol of slavery and the desire to enrich themselves at the expense of the life of a small bird.

Indeed, in fact, the roosters, which were prepared for cockfighting, are slaves that are interesting to their masters, as long as this rooster is able to kill its fellows in the ring.

One bird, but a very different opinion.

On another 13 ¢ - Cuban centavo postage stamp, we see a beautiful Pinto (Gallus gallus domesticus).

How long this bird lived is unknown.

Let's take a look at this postage stamp.
