Let me tell you a funny story about how my morning went... I got into work about 6:30 AM like I usually do and since it is Friday I went about writing my #weeklyspins post for the #musicfolife community.

It is something I started doing during the Covid crisis to share some of the music that I was enjoying each week (originally #whoareyoulisteningto). I like learning about new bands, so I was hoping it would catch on and bring me a some new stuff to add to my Spotify playlist.

Unfortunately, it really hasn't, but I still plan on continuing it. Anyway that is a bit of a tangent.

After I published that post, I went about getting caught up on the new posts from the past sixteen hours or so from the time I left work until coming back in this morning.

One of the first posts I read was this one by @spinvest. I will give you a second to go read it.

How cool is that? The community that I post to once a week is getting their own token and they are going to be growing quite a bit thanks to the support from SPInvest!

I really wanted to take the opportunity to get in early and buy some miners so I took the 6 HDB that I had and moved it over to Hive-Engine. I then sold a bit of my SPORTS token and DEC to get myself a whopping 32 Vibes Miners at 1.5 Hive a piece.

That wasn't enough though, I wanted MORE!

Thus my saga/journey/quest commenced.

I remembered I had some of that crappy TRON coin so I moved a little bit over to Bittrex. Since HIVE deposits/withdraws are disabled on Bittrex (shocker!), I needed to exchange my TRON for BTC and then BTC to STEEM so I could send it over to BeeSwap to convert it to Hive.

One problem, I only moved over about $10 with of TRON and Bittrex doesn't let you buy into that small amount of BTC. Crap!

Okay, so I sent the TRON back and started looking at some of my other wallets. Finally I settled on EOS. I moved $50 in EOS over to Bittrex and exchanged it for BTC. I then used that BTC to buy STEEM and was able to end up with about 127 STEEM.

I moved that STEEM to my old account that is almost powered down and then did a BeeSwap over to Hive. I was now sitting on about 222 Hive. Awesome! I sent that 222 Hive over to LeoDex to buy some more Vibes Miners.

Second problem (or really third if you count running out of Hive in the first place), the price of the miners had jumped up to 3.0 Hive per miner! I made the buy anyway and ended up with about 78 more miners to give me a grand total of 110.

I know I shouldn't be, but I am actually pretty disappointed by that number. I am feeling a bit of buyers remorse now that I spend all that Hive to get a measly 110 miners. I am sure there are bigger accounts out there that are buying them by the hundreds or thousands.

I have a feeling my rewards from the miners will be laughable at best. That seems to be the case when I get excited about something. The ROI is never worth what I put into it.

Hopefully I am wrong. I love the community, so I hope they really do well, but worst case I sell the miners down the road for at least some profit.

Really I blame Bittrex for all of this. It can be such a pain to work with sometimes, but it is really the best option for a lot of us in the states.

I really need to start keeping some liquid Hive in my account for times like this. Were you able to get any Vibes Miners? I hope your experience was less stressful than mine!
