Strong U.S. economy sends dollar bears into hibernation
The dollar index which measures the buck against a basket of its peers, is up 2.4% year-to-date. Net bets on the dollar in futures markets swung positive last month for the first time since late November, Commodity Futures Trading Commission data showed.
Dedollarization? Not according to economist and central banker Christopher J. Waller who believes #crypto currencies won´t replace the #usd but in contrary *strengthen" it, because >99% of all crypto transactions involve #stablecoins which are voluntarily bound to the #dollar! So the adoption of crypto helps in fact the dollar! Interesting theory, isn´t it. Also in Argentina Javier Milei wants to dollarize the economy. @yecier Here is the trend that many analysts are observing: #germany, and the #eu as a whole, are swallowed in a #desindustrialization process triggered by the US' strategic interests. Having weaponized the #euro, just like the US #dollar, is another factor that seems to drag the EU towards more poverty.
