Are you afraid of digital noise?
The photographer's intention is very important. And by manipulating the camera settings we can get the sensor to produce exactly what we want. And sometimes that means there's a little bit of digital noise, but it doesn't bother us.
Can you see it in this #photography? What do you think? For me, there is something artistic about this photo. It makes the flower stand out in a special way. But in truth, the background in real life was not as dark as it appears there. And this photo has just a slight retouching. So how did I do it?
By turning up the camera's sensitivity. Since it is now more sensitive, I don't need to expose the sensor to the light for so long to get what I want, the flower. That means that in the shadows there is not much to perceive, and that's why those shadowy parts are more noticeable.
