Buying SPS tokens now for 2 Reasons
Its very important to have goals because this helps us to keep track of our progress. I also have some goals on the hive chain and this includes a couple of tokens. If I talk about the splinterlands game also I am chasing some goals including SPS and SPT tokens. Earlier I was accumualting more DEC when the airdrop was going on and now I have stopped doing this because its not adding value and its better to add SPS and SPT tokens. Although the DEC price was very high during the airdrop, and it was expected that once the airdrop will get over the DEC price will fall and the same happened. Its debugged now and this way people can buy packs for a discount and even can be bought with the hope that it gets back to its peg then we can earn profit. Sooner or later this will happen and if we have that much patience then we can go ahead and buy DEC.
I am focused more on SPS accumulation after the airdrop and there are 2 reasons.
First- I want to have 100k SPS by end of this year and I am reached 60% as of now. The remaining part is 40% which is exactly a 40k token and to make this happen I have 4.5 months. So roughly I need to buy 10k SPS every month and then only I will be able to reach the goal. I was so happy when the price was less than 5 cents because I was getting more tokens and now the price has gone up by over 50% so I stopped buying. I am not sure about the next price movement. Below is the screenshot where I have got over 60k tokens in my wallet and I am trying to have more balance so that I can add more tokens to my wallet.
The reason why I am locking these tokens is that whatever is locked with remains locked and with the liquid I want to buy the packs. It has already been announced that there will promotional benefits for the buyers during the pre-sale. I am also accumualting voucher tokens so that I can take the best possible benefit out of it.
Second- I want to buy more SPS because I will be buying upcoming rift-watcher packs in pre-sale and SPS will only be the payment option to purchase packs. I don't want to unlock my SPS stake because this is for the long term. This is my plan as of now and I am trying to have enough SPS balance that should be able to accommodate my pack purchase during the pre-sale.
I am sure that whoever holds SPS will be happy because there is another airdrop announced and this is also expected to be for the period of 6-12 months. More details are yet to be revealed but this is good enough to make a plan with SPS and this is why I want to buy more SPS. We can not predict the future but on the basis of the present we can surely take the right step and this is what I am trying to do with splinterlands.
I am very much confident that in the next few years the game will be grown exponentially and the investment I am doing now will be worth it. Since I am investing with a long-term mindset so I have enough patience to wait for that time. Splinterlands is not just a game instead its a leading platform where we have a bunch of opportunities to invest and plan for better returns in the future.
These days the market is in bear sentiment and I believe that this is the right time to buy at a high discount and forget about the selling as that time will come later. I have been doing the same for the last few weeks and will continue doing the same unless either the market is up or I am left with no money in my pocket. Probably this is the DIP and if this is true then I am buying the dip and HODL of course.
