Another view on comments and engagement on Leofinance
There have been quite some good initiatives to stimulate engagement and commenting lately.
A good example is the Initiative of 10 from @taskmaster4450
And also the Leofinance Engagement League by @abh12345 stimulates users to comment more.
There are probably some more initiatives that I forgot to mention.

As you can see in the graph there has been an enormous increase in comments over the past 7 months and it still keeps increasing. This surely has something to do with the growing number of users, but also with the aforementioned initiatives.
Another view
I really like statistics and since I have access to some useful data now I've been playing around a bit. Since commenting and engagement is important I decided to look into the comments on Leofinance.
Doing this I found some interesting numbers that I would like to share with you.
I’ve checked all the blogs in the past 6 days and checked how many of these had no comments at all.
The result was somewhat surprising to me.
Almost 40% of the posts in the past 60 days hadn’t received a single comment. Not everyone has the time to comment every day, so I created the following table of the past few days.
This shows that the percentages are somewhat the same over the week. Since the @leo.stats graphs of @dalz show enormous amounts of comments I decided to investigate this a bit more.
So checked the total number of comments on all posts yesterday. There were a total of 1663 comments on 248 posts which is an average of 6,7 comments per blog. Which is quite a good figure. Then I checked the posts with the most comments.
This showed where the huge number of comments is coming from. The Leotalk blogs only had a total of 620 comments yesterday. That’s more like a slow chat to me. When you subtract this number from the total number of comments you end up with an average of 4,2 comments per blog. Leomarkettalk had a 37,3% share of all comments yesterday.
And now what?
First of all, I must admit I'm not a great commenter on Leofinance myself. I hardly make the top 100 of the Leofinance engagement, so I do have to look in the mirror.
The reason is twofold; I'm just not a crypto expert and I was always taught: “If you don’t have anything interesting to add, you’d better keep your mouth shut”.
But this doesn't mean I cannot share my opinion on things, so I'll do my best...
But what about the almost 40% posts without any comments….?
What I’ve done is create a selection of yesterday's topics that didn’t have any comments until now and added them in the following table.
It can be that there is spam or junk among them, but there may also be some good blogs that might not have been seen because they were made by a newly registered account without any followers or for some other reason.
What I would suggest is that everyone who reads this topic runs through this table, finds one or more interesting blogs and adds a useful comment. I really think could improve the overall engagement. Especially for newly onboarded users.
If you like this idea, I can create a list of ‘forgotten blogs’ more frequently. That way we can hopefully see the percentage of blogs without any comments drop over time.
