SplinterGlossary: Starter Cards (Ghost Cards)
Every new Splinterlands player has access to the so-called Starter Cards or Ghost Cards to play with.
The Starter Cards include all the common and rare cards from the latest two main editions at level 1. Not the actual NFTs, but access to playable versions, to try the game out.
Once a player buys a Summoner's Spellbook, rewards are unlocked, but every ghost card the player uses reduces the rewards. If the player only plays with ghost cards, there are no rewards. To earn rewards, either buying or renting cards is necessary.
