SPT token belongs to the the Splinterland's outpost and with it's usage not limited to curation only but it is used for NFT creation and NFT trading using SPT . NFT created are of really high quality but since these NFT have no in game utility so it limited SPT to the curation only.
Circulating supply of this token is now 169 million with close to 76 million tokens staked. When checked the "null" account it has 3 million SPT (it means 3 million SPT token are burned and non recoverable that decrease the circulating supply.) In this case effective circulating supply will be now 166 million and since only 76 million staked , it make staking percentage (% ) below 46%.
It is little hard to calculate the "curation" APR of the SPT token as curation curve is not linear at all but I guess on average we might consider it as 20% and it will be really nice if team switch to the linear curve.
Current market demand look week in dex and I am not sure if diesel pool has any demand for SPT. Also if we see the price of SPT is also tanked and since these graph is plotted against Hive and I see Hive price is almost same as it was 3 month back, so SPT indeed lost much of it's price.
I do not see any plan by the Splinterland's team to create further utility of token in near future and team is really have their hand full with all the promised work and most importantly Land updates are most awaited and most crucial in determining the future growth of the game.
With current SPT price , this will put market cap of mere 60K and this started really looking cheap. By gauging current development around SPT , I feel it will tank more and I am now just wondering is it right time to grab SPT or throw some hundred Dollars and wait and magic that can easily turn into 10 fold value may happen in future (just an announcement by Splinterland team for more SPT utility)
